Based on the 2015 book “One week in a Rug” by Eva Harut.
Multimedia installation presented 2015, at the Yerevan Museum of Contemporary Art, references the story of Ripsime Betnesian—a young Armenian woman who had survived the mass murder of the 1915 in Erzurum, and with her 3year old daughter, became a refugee.The musical poetry written by Komitas combines with the images of the woman’s hands in fire and water to echo the tragedy that Ripsime carried throughout her life.
